TEDxSydney fosters deep connections and discussions within the community, sharing powerful Australian ideas in exciting formats. Our event branding for the 2024 TEDxSydney Salon, Net Positive, focused on visions of a Net Zero goal for Australia, symbolising the idea of a circular future.
As TEDxSydney’s Creative Partner, we were tasked to create a comprehensive suite of visual and digital assets to support the Salon theme and differentiate it from previous years. Our aim was to communicate the vision of a sustainable future through an on-brand event identity.
Working in tandem with the client over the Figma platform, we began by exploring four different territories. The collaborative software enabled key stakeholders to see, share and add to feedback in real-time, facilitating quick decision-making on the chosen concept.
Event branding for the 2024 TEDxSydney Salon was representative of a circular future, capturing the vibrant journey towards Net Zero. Suitable for both static and motion applications, it conveyed a gentle, transitional approach that was still dynamic and interesting.
Shifting from warm to cool tones, the gradient represented the process of change, while sharp lines were symbolic of concrete steps required. Though the colourway for the start and end of the key visual stayed the same, the graphic device could be adapted and stretched as needed, from three to six circles.
Speaker announcements, partner updates and other event posts utilised separate gradients, circles and type boxes, with flexibility for the full or cropped visual device.
All assets were accessible and adhered to brand guidelines, elevating the 2024 TEDxSydney Salon identity with a unique and meaningful design tailored to the specific objectives of the event.
